Who are we?
Steve Nealon (BSC, Hons, MBPsS) Director and Main Agent.
Steve was born into the entertainment industry being the son of well known Irish actor, Des Nealon and choreographer Bernie Keogh. Steve took his first professional role at the age of 8 at the Gate Theatre, Dublin under the direction of esteemed director Hilton Edwards. After his schooling, Steve trained as an actor at the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College, Dublin. Working as an actor in Ireland and the UK for twenty years, Steve also spent many years working as an agent at actor's co-operatives ANA and Park Management. Steve also spent three years working in advertising sales for magazines at Nexus Media but magazines targeting the dental industry began to make his teeth grind. So Steve set up acting school Threshold Theatre Arts in 2007 and began to represent children for work in the entertainment industry and soon afterwards started to represent adults. Steve Nealon Associates began trading the following year and has been growing ever since. Steve is also a keen writer and director and has written and directed many shows for children and young people. Steve also has a degree in Psychology and is a committee member of the Open University Psychological Society. In 2019 Steve organised an event entitled 'Mental Health in the Gig Economy for the British Psychological Society and is a keen advocate for actor's mental health and well being.
Phoebe Mallinson (BA) , Agent's Assistant
Phoebe was involved in drama from a young age, acting all throughout her student years. Studying history at Oxford, she felt it was important to balance her academic work with some creative activity. Towards the end of her degree, however, she began to particularly enjoy the other side of the industry, spotting and critiquing talent, organising productions and fostering creative relationships. Upon graduating she was set on becoming an agent. Her work for SNA has been her first exposure to the job and she is loving learning from Steve.
